WB 20 & 21 Greece,Rocks, Major Concept, & Wisdom Quiz

Daniel made my day by drawing what he learned last week on the dry erase board. He of course looked how to spell each type of rock but he did this on his own after we ate breakfast so I had to take a picture. We continued our study on rocks & Minerals from WB 20.We used our Thinking Tank to do an experiment called Conglomerate Salad to explain how sedimentary rocks are formed.

Dominic was right again :/ I had him add more water which caused the experiment not to work :( Oh well that is science.Besides being right he also had some good ideas for the next time I attempt this.In order to show fossils in a sedimentary rock add a gummy fish to the salad.Of course they would take care of the rest :)

Well it did not form a rock because I added to much water causing it to be to moist. :( Next time!

Daniel's Ancient Greece work for today.

Angelina's History pocket for today. She wrote her own myth along with making an gods & goddesses book.

The boys researched & wrote, Joe studied the Trojan War while Dominic studied Greek Mythology.
We began WB 21 today. We completed the Wisdom Quiz and discussed the Major Concept: Anger Violates Love.I then let them explained to them what we will be studying in this Wisdom Booklet and how it relates to the Major Concept. For part of our life classroom projects they are to look for anger when reading the Bible, in life, watching movies, etc.Since the first week is all Bible for the WB and there are no projects finish up the following WB projects. This accomplishes two things.
  • it keeps us moving in the Wisdom Booklets
  • it allows for further study on whatever we are working on in the last WB .
So after we finished up the Major Concept & Wisdom Quiz for WB 21 we continued our study of Ancient Greece & Rocks/Minerals from WB 20.
Dominic also spent some time online researching colleges & career options so he can pray and get some ideas for when we sit down to plan his highschool years.
