Date night with my hubby :)

We had some much needed time to spend together this weekend. Grandma took the troop so we could go on a date. My love language is time so I felt so refreshed after our date. It has been busy here serving the Lord, father/son activities, and fixing trucks that we haven't had much time together this past month. He has also been working at a distance which is rare that added to the lack of time.
I just love this man of God who puts his wife and family first.
We both love the outdoors but since I am pregnant our choices of normal things we do are limited so we did some miniature golf .We then went and sat by the lake and just talked while enjoying God's creation. I love to be outside!

We then went to our favorite Italian restaurant to get a Stromboli. We have both been going to this restaurant since we were little and together since married almost 25 years ago. We grew up in the same town. I didn't meet my hubby until I was 15 but we both have childhood memories of going to this shopping center where the Italian restaurant is located.

We finished the evening by getting ice cream at Dairy Queen. I have been craving Peanut Butter Parfaits lately so I was happy to finally get one.

Ephesians 5:33   Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

baby Caleb's ultrasound today ..half way there!!!

Psalms 139:14   I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well
Baby Caleb's ultrasound picture. We are praising the Lord for our healthy baby boy. He was very active during the ultrasound so he will be able to keep up with all the other little boys in the family.
The pictures do not do the ultrasound justice. I was amazed at the details compared to my other kiddos in the past.
Caleb Joshua's due date is January 7, 2015

Memory Board

I love watching Youtube videos that other moms post to get some great ideas. This mom did a video on a memory board. I loved the idea so I wanted to share. Here is the link to the video .click here for video on a memory board.

Here is my memory board. This is just for the first week of school. I will be adding Geography & history. I also want to add our Wisdom Booklet verses, character trait. etc. You can do your own memory board for any subject or curriculum.
I took her advice and looked up on youtube some songs etc. that might help with our memory work. Here is an example of a preposition song we are singing daily. Click here for preposition song. I also look for short videos on preposition and watch one daily. They average maybe 3 min. I am not doing the memory board every day just every other day and only with my elementary kiddos.

My favorite blogs :O)
