We celebrate the Passover yearly to remember the picture of Christ when the Israelites were free from slavery and remember the freedom from sin for those who believe in the Lamb of God who died to take away the sins of the world.
Daddy is the leader as head of the house and I light the candles.
Nehemiah paid close attention to every detail of the
Passover. He loved being a part of the celebration. This is one of the family favorite Holy Days we celebrate each year.
The washing of hands.
Daddy telling the story of the Passover showing Nehemiah the pictures.
Angelo hiding his eyes while Joe hides the
Afikoman.
Job dipping his fingers in the new wine for each plague.
This is our traditional Passover meal.Lamb roast on a
Matzo cracker with horseradish, Chicken soup with
Matzo balls, and
Haroset. This is the only time of year we eat
Haroset,
Matzo balls, & lamb so it makes it a special meal that tastes good :O)
After dinner the younger kids have to find the
Afikoman.Who ever finds it gets a prize.Job found it this year and he got
Lego toys.Everyone got candy. The we had desert...pound cake which we all enjoyed.
It was a great day remembering what the Lord Jesus Christ did as the Lamb of God.We sang hymns.
Blessed are YOU ,Lord, our God, King of the universe, who has shown us a glimpse of your infinite grace and mercy. Thanks be to You for Your Son, our eternal Redeemer and Savior, the True and Perfect Lamb.
