Today we did #9 sun allows long distance radio communication & #12 Solar energy.I have a few fun hands on solar energy projects to complete when we finally get a sunny day.We have had storms, cloudy skies, & the temperatures have dropped so I am hoping we the weather will be nice next week. Some of the things we learned were about the ionosphere created by the sun, northern/southern lights (Aurora Borealis) , solar energy, and hydroelectric generators that take advantage of the water cycle, which is controlled by the sun.
I spent the rest of the day checking the WBLA while the students worked on their reports for Dad.They also worked on their homework for tomorrows co-op.
This is a picture of a part of out homeschool day. There are times when everyone is doing something independent and there are times we work together as a team.Angelina is reading to her little brothers the Magic School Bus trip to the Stars ,while Daniel is researching the Solar System for his report,Dominic was working on his Biology, Joe was working on his Math, & I was checking Math that the rest completed.
Thanks to Jeanie Fulbright from the Apologia Elementary Yahoo group for sharing this link today on the Aurora
Borealis. It was perfect timing :) How beautiful is God's creation!!!
