Seasons in life can sometime cause you to make changes. I have always done mainly unit studies for our WB projects. The kids wanted for this year to have subjects they can work on independently so we are going to try to use the workbox / worknotebook method while using Rod & Staff plus Christian Light Publications for their studies. So I have replaced doing the WB projects with curriculum. We of course will sit as a family every moring doing the WB together as our read aloud /Bible time.
This will cause my blog to change as we will continue to discuss what we are learning in the WB but no more WB projects instead what we are learning in the R&S / CLP. http://www.rodandstaffbooks.com/
We did last year try My Fathers World at the end of the year. Having Titus really made me in need of a curriculum that lays out our lesson plans instead of preparing for everyone which I enjoy but seasons change. I did not like MFW but it is a curriculum worth looking into as each homeschooling family has their own recipe of their school and what works for them. One of the requirements for our family is the curriculum must have Christ as the center (not an add on study) or it challenges character like the McGuffey readers. This is what lead us to Rod & Staff and Christian Light Publications.
We began school already. We have a few weeks in so its time to start blogging :O) Last year Titus was born and well my time was spent more with a new born so less blogging. I would so much rather cuddle a newborn little lamb than blogging and I still enjoy him daily along with my other children.
