WB 23~*Mastery Quiz & Life Classroom

Today we did the Mastery Quiz & Life Classroom worksheets. We also worked on some projects and that we did not complete. It is hard to believe Monday we begin WB 24 our last one for the school year. All week I have been printing & making the mini-booklets for WB 24. So far we plan to do :

• Hands of a Child~ Mayan, Atec & Inca lapbook
• Hands of a Child~ Survial skills lapbook
• Knowledge Box Central~ Modesty lapbbok

I will post pictures as we complete them. I am really looking forward to studying survial skills and look forward to doing the activities outside.

WB 23 Medicine Resource~Circulatory system

Why must we deal with both medical injuries and adversaries promptly?

Our lesson for today was studying the many medical emergencies that needs prompt attention.This resource was pact full of not only information on the human body but also emergency care. There was so many ways you could go with the projects but I decided to focus on the circulatory system to build on the heart study we had a few WB ago..

I need to get back to having the children research information and having a report that is the disadvantage of using lesson plans. This is a very busy time of year so alternating is a good thing.

WB 23 Law Resource II

Today we did the second part of the Law Resource. We focused on the due process in law, Magna Carta & church discipline.

Angelina finished the book she was reading about Clara Barton.All my kids so far love these books. We studied Clara Barton the Angel of the battlefield in a past Wisdom Booklet too. I want her to read about the great women who have made a difference in the past especially those that love God like Clara Barton. God has a plan for her.That is one of the things we enjoy about the Childhood of American books, they show how the things of the famous American childhood was used to shape and mold that person.

WB 23 Law Resource I & Civil War

Today I spent the morning at the hospital while my Dad had a two stents placed in his heart. While I was at the hospital my husband did the Law resource with the kids. I got home in the afternoon then we continued our study on the Civil War. They learned about the U.S.Christian Commission and all the great things they did for Christ. When I look at all the good work the Y.M.C.A has done in the past I am very encouraged. We studied the Y.M.C.A in a past Wisdom Booklet so it was great to see the things they did in the Civil War.
This page has a tract like they past out & a Identifier badge (1rst dogtag) with a salvation verse on it. Very cool ! I love when they learn about God's people and how they were a light to the world.Angelina's notebook page then was decorated with stickers.

We then watched the movie Gods and Generals about the Civil War. I love this movie because it shows what a praying man Stonewall Jackson was and it always encourages me to pray continually.

WB 23 Civil War

Last Friday I did not post but we spent the day at the WEC end of the year picnic.They played games and enjoyed playing with their friends.
I spent today at the hospital waiting for my father to have heart surgery. They were able to go in and check him today with a cath. but moved the surgery to tomorrow. So my husband did lesson 13 in the Time Travelers Series for me while I was at the hospital. He took today & tomorrow off so I can be at the hospital with my father. He is such a blessing to me.
