WB 25 Medicine Resource~Gangrene
We did the Medicine resource today. Our challenge & study was how does amputation of gangrenous members demonstrate the concept of cutting off an offending member to save the rest of the body? This was such a good visual on the importance removing things that tempt us to sin or feed our sin. It as always pointed to Christ. I pray this lesson will always be with them when they are adults and on their own and challenged with not only the battle of the flesh but wise decisions they will need to make in their lifetime.
We focused on what gangrene is ,how it is treated ,etc. for the medicine teaching then compared it to our spiritual challenge. We did not work on a project but prepared and finished up homework for the co-op.
As always I love how theWB teaches like Jesus did so long ago!

WB 25 Science Resource ~*Part 2
It is memory Monday.Every Monday we recite the Sermon on the Mount to review the past WB verses so they are apart of us. Each time we do it the WB lessons come to my mind. I can picture lighthouses, palm trees (one of our all time favorite studies) etc.
Today Part 2 of the Science Resource was done. We looked at which animals sacrifice a foot or tail in order to save its life. Then we looked at animals that save their feet when trapped thus forfeit their lives. Which went with our verse Mathew 5:29-30 and if thy right eye offend thee pluck it out...and if thy right hand offend thee cut it off..
The kids always enjoy nature studies. There is so many ways you can do projects for this resource.
Then we did what I call TOG day. We are in aTOG (Tapestry of Grace) co-op that is going through modern history. So we are studying modern history & geography using TOG. We are completing a TOG lapbook as we study the lessons. Then the next day we do projects and lessons at the TOG co-op.We will be covering modern history later on in the WB this year so this will be added to that notebook. This has been a great time especially for me to cover literature & geography since it is my weakness with the WB.
So we worked on TOG lapbook and got ready for the co-op which we enjoy.
