We began our medicine resource today. How does genetics confirm that "two shall be one flesh"? The ultimate demonstration of "one flesh" occurs when a child is conceived. Christ takes 23 chromosomes from mom & 23 from Dad and they become one.
We will be spending the week studying Genetics & DNA. I love how the Biblical view introduces the study of DNA & Genetics. One of the beautiful purposes of marriage is to be fruitful & produce Godly seed for the Kingdom of Christ. This is so important that my children understand this because in toady's modern Christianity children have become a choice or a burden when in the Bible they have always been a blessing and a purpose. When blessings are listed in the Bible children are always listed first! Next time you read through the Bible I challenge you when blessing are given to pay attention to what is listed first.
We are looking forward to doing some experiments & lessons on Genetics tomorrow.Today I read the recommended book to the younger students DNA is here to stay. by Dr.Fran Balkwill to the younger students Here is a link for the book through Amazon. .http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_19?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=dna+is+here+to+stay&sprefix=dna+is+here+to+stay
Dominic & Joe did a report on Genetic Engineering & gave their opinion on the subject
.
The younger students remembered their Vacation Bible school song. I got DNA. I am fearfully and wonderfully made!
