Angelina filled out her wolf lapbook (only half we will finish the rest tomorrow) that I made over the weekend. I have collected over time educational place mats for breakfast, but they are also great to grab to use in our studies. The older boys took more notes on Native Americans for their writing assignment & continued to work on their research homework for the co-op.
I love FREE products :O) The Lord blessed me with this free wolf mini-books that come with the teaching information(answers). There is also a list of recommended books, which is a great help. You can find it at http://www.homeschoolshare.com/gray_wolf.php So this weekend, I printed out all the mini-books, cut them out, & assembled the lapbook. I decided to do it this way instead of Angelina to save time, so she could just fill out the information in a few days, or you can have a student did it just allow for more than a few days if you decide to do this. I enjoy cutting and so I listened to worship music while I made the lapbook.
I used two colored file folders then taped them together to make a book.
I used two colored file folders then taped them together to make a book.
I then used the 3M spray to glue scrapbook paper to the inside of the folders to add color & design. This spray not only saves time but lets the paper lie nice and flat. Since we do not celebrate Halloween this paper was perfect for wolves.
I then used the spray again to attach the mini-books..
The wolf unit also came with some graphics. I used to add wolf pictures as well as some, I took from the Internet. If you have stickers, etc. you can decorate that way or even print the pictures on sticker paper.
