Wisdom Booklet 24 Medicine Resource

Today we did half of the Medicine resource. The focus of this resource is Venereal diseases.

We then finished the Hands of a Child Basic Survival Skills lapbook.

I was happy our Iowa Basic tests came in on Saturday from ATI. So I have everything done except getting my affidavit notarized for the next school year. We are coming to the end of the year. Its hard to believe.

WB 24 Law Resource & Mail Box Art

Yesterday we did the Law Resource for WB 24. Then for art class as a family we decorated our new mailbox. The post office changed our mailing address and moved the location of our mailbox. It is now closer and at the end of our street.The country life :O) So we purchased a jumbo mailbox so the mail man does not have to drive to our house for some of the smaller packages. So for art class we made a collage and decorated our new mail box. The kids choose pictures from magazines, pictures of our pets, cut out shapes, and drew pictures. I traced the younger kids hands using colorful scrapbooking paper. This begins the summer of fun family projects for around the house.

WB 24 Authority Through Accuracy

Today we did Authority Through Accuracy for WB24. Our focus was graphs. The older students did the project on their own and the elementary students used these free worksheets.

Yesterday we did not do any school.Our 180 days are completed so we had our evaluations yesterday with the evaluator. Since school ended in the middle of a WB I of course want to finish the WB.

WB 24 Science ~ Survival skills

Today was a project day we did most of the Hands of a Child Survival lapbook and learned survival skills. I used a brad to close the flap on the lapbook so when it is in the accordian book it does not fly open.

WB 24 Science

Today we did the Science resource.How trappers illustrate the enticement that Satan uses to appeal to our lusts. I plan to spend the summer learning survival skills with the kids but for now will will do a survival skills lapbook.

Portfolios

I am very sick today and I am having trouble breathing with pain in my right lung, so since all I can do is sit I decided to work on my portfolios while my husbands fixes our new van (the old one died). I have 4 portfolios to do this year and I got most of my samples placed in a 3ring binder. Now I need to type the books, curriculum lists, etc. The nice thing about doing unit studies is for the most part I just copy the lists and change or add to it when necessary.
I am still waiting for Iowa Basic tests to come in from ATI before I meet the evaluator, and I have to type up my lists but for the most part I am done and enjoyed putting the samples in the portfolio.
I also found I like the notebooks verses the lapbooks. I like to just turn in a 3ring binder so the lapbooks are too bulky for samples. The nice thing about the bound notebooks is I can easily use the binding machine to open up the binds if I need a samples for my portfolio. Then I can easily put them back. I plan to finish the portfolios in the next few days.The school year is winding down and then its time to begin preparing for the next one. I have enjoyed the Wisdom Booklets. They are truly Deut. 6:4-9
