WB 27 Medicine Resource & Spanish Inquisition

We spent two day
s covering the medicine resource. We also spent time studying the Spanish Inquisition. We used the recommended BJU World History & also The Kingfisher History Encyclopedia. We then did age appropriate notebooking pages using the History Scribe. When it comes to studying history the History Scribe comes to the rescue for most of the history we cover with the WB. :O)

WB 27 Law Resource

We completed the Law resource. We looked at the US laws concerning perjury & oaths. We studied the Biblical laws concerning false witnesses etc. It challenged us by discussing what does an oath mean to someone that does not fear God.Who are they accountable too? And the difference a nation is when it fears God. Me & my baby boy Nehemiah :O)

WB 27 Authority Through Acc.

Today we completed Authority Through Accuracy. How extraneous words in defining problems increase risk of error. This study focused on word problems and taking the steps to get the precise problem and question. It was an example of clear communication. .....but let your communication be, yea, yea: Nay, Nay: for whatsoever is more than this cometh of evil"

I was also very proud of the boys.This past weekend Joe came in first place for individuals & both Dominic/Joe came in first place as a team for their division for Bible Quizzing. They worked on their own accord. The most important thing is they are hiding God's word in their heart. I pray the Lord uses the word of God greatly in their lives!

WB27 Science Resource

Today we finished the Science Resource. Our study was on spectroscopy & spectral lines.

We had a wonderful surprise in the mail today from ATI. We were given two books & pamplets! One of the awesome things about ATI is the equiping of so much more than homeschooling families with a great curriculim that is centered on Christ. They also give tools and opportunities in so many ways to build strong families for Christ to reach out in thier own communites & the world. It is truly a family based education with a strong Christian worldview reaching out to others for Christ. As always encouraging the fathers to love their wives and being the spiritual leader of the home.

WB 27 Science Resource

Today we did half of the Science resource.How does spectroscopy illustrate the response of yea or nay? It was a lighter day since the kids had to be at church at 5:30PM .

WB 27 Power Through Prec.& History Resource

Since I last posted we completed two resources, Power Through Precision & History Resource. We also did another Character Sketch for Cautiousness~Octopus & Uriah.

When I planned this WB earlier in the year for the history Resource I was going to do a study on War War 2 because of the The Hiding Place the recommended reading. I decided to save the study for WB 35. So for our history this month we will study the Spanish Inquisition which was one of the choices for further study. It will fit right in after the Renaissance study from the last WB. I wish I could find more information on the subject.

I enjoyed the study of the lies in the Bible doing the History Resource. It was a good lesson on how lying is a good indication we are not in the will of God.
