WB 26 Character Quality WS,Bees & Startwrite
Today we did the Character Quality Worksheet. Our character focus for this month is Loyalty: using difficult times to demonstrate my commitment to God and to those whom He has called me to serve. The kids have done this so many times I just hand them the worksheet then we meet together and discuss the Character Quality. I really enjoyed the answers to the questions & the Bible character examples they choose.
We then did the Bee study in the Character Sketches.
On the Wisdom Searchers group ( yahoo group for those who use the WB)one of the moms mention the Startwrite program. I purchased the program at http://www.startwrite.com/ I am so excited about this program and looking forward to making homemade notebooking pages for the Wisdom Booklets Studies.I can also use it when teaching elementary students at the co-ops. Here are some samples. It is hard to see on the picture but the first page has dotted lines for the younger students to trace and a red dot to know where to begin the letter.Even the older student can practice penmanship or copy work with either manuscript or cursive. There are many fonts to choose from and sizes. It is easy to use and you can add pictures ,etc. or leave it blank and have a space for their own drawings. This program is a fun way to personalize my students work at all ages. I can see I will get my money worth out of this program:O)
We also did the Character Sketch lesson and I used the Startwrite program for their writing pages. They also did the coloring book page & crossword puzzles.
I love purchasing products that can be used to study the Wisdom Booklets!

WB 26 Meditation WS & Loyalty~*Canadian Geese
We did the Meditation Worksheet today. They completed the worksheet on their own and then we sat together to go over the worksheet.
We then did a Character Sketch on the Canadian Geese. I was excited because they learned how the geese pair for life and are devoted to one another which went perfect with our verse study :O) Here is a picture of the crossword puzzle & coloring book that IBLP sells that go with the Character Sketch books.
Wisdom Booklet 26 verse: Mathew 5:31-32
It hath been said, whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But I say unto you, that whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
I enjoyed today when my son said not only is it important to be loyal to a wife but to choose one wisely that will be loyal to me. That is the wisdom the Lord uses while going through the Wisdom Booklets.

WB 25 Mastery Quiz & WB 26 Major Concept
Today's thought and one which I am meditating on is Loyalty is adjusting my schedule to meet the needs of those I am serving (Great Horned Owl)I must always keep that focus as a homeschool mom with high calling wanting to please the Lord knowing that I will stand before him one day (WB25) Even if it takes pruning some suckers in my life.(WB25) Now the Lord is taking me to using that time wisely in serving Him both with my family and the church to reach others WB26. The Life classroom is the best part about homeschooling using the Wisdom Booklets!!!
Today we did the Mastery Quiz for WB 25. I always enjoy the review of what we covered in the WB.
Then we began WB 26 and discussed the Major Concept: Marriage Vows are for life. I was going to do the Commands of Christ but decided that would be a good Sunday evening devotion.
I decided to do the four animals in the Character sketch book Volume 1 that teaches Loyalty our character focus for WB 26. So we did the Great horn owl. Angelo is holding up a tape measure to show how big a Great Horn owl can get. The older kids drew an owl picture while the younger students colored the owl picture from the Character Sketch coloring book.We then reviewed the lesson by completing the owl character sketch crossword puzzle. My hubby is teaming up with me so for family devotions he is doing the Bible section of the Character Sketches and then we are completing the crossword puzzle for review. We will do this all week until we finish all four animals t.hat display the character quality of loyalty.
Then the elementary kids did review work in their Botany notebook. We are doing school each day outside and I am loving it :O) I am such an outdoors person I love to be in God's creation!
