WB 22 Law Resource~ Polygraph

Today we did the Law Resource. This blog just reflects the many ways the projects can be completed, but it will never show the word of God that is the heart of the Wisdom Booklets. I love seeing the word of God feed my lambs.
We studied the Polygraph and looked at the American laws concerning the lie detector as well as how it works. We also looked at the Bible and God's laws concerning those that lie or hold guilt etc.I can't even explain on this blog, but we really enjoyed this resource as always.Still feeding on the lesson!
We did not do any projects. The kids cleaned the house for Passover tomorrow while I prepared for the last two WB of the year. I plan to make a notebook for WB 23 & a lapbook for WB 24. I also was working on the next school year.
There is a big sale at Currclick, so I have been adding things to my wish list. I like to be able to preview products to make sure they will work with the WB I am planning.

Since tomorrow is Good Friday, there is no co-op. We will be celebrating the Passover one of our Favorite Holidays!

Preparing for WB 23

Well, I had an unexpected day off from school. Yesterday at the co-op where the kids are taking creation science classes one of the families invited our older boys for a sleep over. We trust the family, especially since the father is the one who disciple my husband when he came back to Christ as a young man.

So today I decided to prepare for WB 23. Since we are studying tThe Civil War next month I purchased The Time Travelers Civil War http://www.homeschoolinthewoods.com/HTTA/TTS/CivilWar.htm

There are tons of printing for me to so since I will have all 4 kids working on this notebook. Daniel will make just a lapbook while the older students will make a notebook. It will be worth it! I really love her products!
Then tonight off to church.

WB 22 Authority Through Accuracy~Banking & Science

Today we did the projects for the Authority through Accuracy. I planned on doing the Banking Basics when we came back from the TOG co-op. Since they went to their friend house, we will do it Thursday if we have time was at a curriculum fair purchased this used Bank it Kit for just a few bucks it has checks and basically the same information as WB but the checks were cute, and it did have some nice booklets about Banking. The Banking Basic more for Jr. high/ high school age kids I ordered from in the information given in the WB. They were sent to me for free. Well, since I will be using these WB again with the next generation of children going through them. I made copies so the students do not mark in their WB anymore. The Bank It kit came with checks, but you can easily copy the sample check from the WB.

Here they are working on their checking accounts reconciling the difference in the bank statement and their checking account records.
Then the afternoon they went to the TOG creation science class. Here they are working through Apologia's Astronomy lessons & notebook.Mrs. Barb is a great teacher. Here is Angelo talking Mrs.Barbs ear off, I am sure :O)
It is time for a group photo. Everyone is here except one family. Next week we have a field trip planned then the week after the final TOG, where there will be the end of the year test and that ends the year for that co-op. It was a big blessing to our family. I love to fellowship with God's children!

I pray the Lord does great and mighty things through these kids!

Deuteronomy 17: 18-19 ( commands for Kings-God's children)
18And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
19And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:

We enjoy as a family sitting in the living room each reading 5 verses going in a circle. Its our round table :O) My older three have already read the entire Bible doing devotions this way. We have taken a short break reading through the Bible (doing various Bible stories) but this video is very encouraging to get back into reading through the entire Bible!

WB 22 Authority Through Accuracy~Banking & Iowa tests

This morning we did the Authority Through Accuracy Resource. We studied banking, writing checks, and keeping accurate records while reminded to keep our accounts with others concerning offences always dealt with when the Holy Spirit reveals a need for reconciliation.
This afternoon all my legal aged students are going to grandmas for the LA portion of the Iowa Basic test. We purchased the tests from ATI. They will be doing this replace of the normal 3rs they do daily. In PA students are required to be tested in 3rd, 5th, & 8th grade but Joe will also be tested this week. Grandma is such a blessing!
I will spend the rest of the day cleaning for it is a Holy week, and tomorrow we will be celebrating the Passover :O)
